Thanks to global warming, you needn’t spend a fortune on a personal media player to make an impression, at least on the West Coast. In fact, your PMP can even be kind of clunky and not pack the most impressive features. It just has to be green.

Born in a small village near Madras, India, Isaac moved to New York City in 1968 and began working for the United Nations, first as a messenger and then as a photographer. He retired in 1998 as chief of the UN’s Department of Public Information, after a career in which he traveled to more than 100 countries. Isaac has received numerous national and international awards, including honors from the United Nations and Time Magazine. He won the 1990 Kodak International Professional Show Case Award , and his work was featured at an exhibition at the 1996 World’s Fair in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2000 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Photographic Council.
